Organizing for Healthy Eating

Do you have weight loss goals? Are you groaning or celebrating?  Whether you have the goal to lose weight, most of strive to eat better which is really hard in the world of fast food on every corner!  For me to eat as healthy as I want, I have to have a plan and I have to plan to implement it.  It is easy coming up with a plan but if you don’t schedule time for the plan to happen the plan just sits on the page or on your phone making fun of you.
Whether you are doing a structured eating plan like Whole 30 or just trying to make better choices, here are just a few ways to help you implement your plan:
  1.  Schedule an appointment with yourself to plan out a week’s worth of meals and snacks. Be sure to look at your calendar to see how many nights you can be home to eat dinner.
  2. Make a grocery list after you look through the fridge and pantry to see what you need. While you are there throw out any unhealthy or old food that you will not eat.
  3. Schedule a trip to the grocery store or place your order on instacart
  4. Schedule time to wash and prep veggies and fruits and make a meal that you can take with you when you need to.
I make up salads in the summer and soups in the winter to take with me for lunch or supper depending on my schedule.I have a small cooler and a thermos that I use to keep my foods hot or cold.
