I have a few more questions about working with Clutter Free...

Here are the questions we hear the most.  If you have additional questions, Contact Us and we will respond as soon as we're finished creating a Welcome Home for our current client.

How long will it take to create my Welcome Home?

The answer to that question depends on you!  We work as fast as you let us.  Some clients are ready to make decisions and others struggle with decision-making causing the process to slow.  The first session is usually the most difficult but as you learn decision-making tools the process speeds up.  We are there to keep you moving forward as quickly as possible.  After the first session we can give you better estimates of the time it will take to create your Welcome Home.

Can you work with my budget?

Yes, we can do as little or as much as you need.  We can offer a consultation with ideas that you can implement yourself or assist you with the most difficult projects and let you tackle the easy ones on your own. Let us know what your budget is and we will do our best to give you a Welcome Home within your budget.

What do I need to do to prepare for the consultation?

Nothing!  We need to see your space the way you are using it so that we can assist you to  create the best system for you.  You needn't feel ashamed  -- we don't see the clutter you see.  We see the Clutter-Free Welcome Home that your house can be!

What if my spouse or significant other is not open to help?

The best way to approach this is by letting them know that you need the help personally or you need help to know how to create a Welcoming Home.  Scheduling a consultation for all parties involved is a good way for everyone to meet the organizer and hear the process . A consultation will give them an opportunity to voice their concerns and needs.  We can only help those who are open to it. Creating an atmosphere of safety for everyone is most important when asking for change. Inviting a third party into the situation can sometimes help to create that safe atmosphere for everyone.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We can accept cash or check.

What makes you different from other organizers?

Our goal is to listen to the needs of our clients and create a unique system that works for them.  We also start organizing by securing items they use on a daily and weekly basis before we start the de-cluttering process. This takes a lot of the "fear" out of de-cluttering and organizing.  Our goal is for you to be thrilled with the outcome and we work hard to gain your confidence and trust.

Why do I need a professional organizer?

A professional organizer comes into your space with fresh eyes and ideas that will help you through the struggle and frustrations that paralyze you.  We are not emotionally attached to your possessions, so we can offer objective insight to your situation.  We keep you from getting bogged down in the details and just moving the piles from one place to another.  We bring energy and encouragement to keep you motivated. We are not your "family" nagging you, we are your cheerleaders to encourage you! We also have years of experience and processes to break down the overwhelming projects to manageable steps that will give you the ability to make exponentially more progress then you could on your own.  We can "hear" your story and we provide the physical assistance to help you accomplish your goal of a welcoming home.

Will you make me buy organizing supplies?

We encourage you to de-clutter and organize before you buy any organizing tools.  We also try to use what you have before we send you shopping.  Organizing containers can become clutter if you don't know what you need before you go shopping.

Will you throw all my stuff out?

No. You are in charge of what gets donated or thrown away!  We will help you make decisions but you have the final say.  It is your home and your stuff, and only you know what is most important and needed.  We will help you donate anything that no loger blesses you and keeps your home from welcoming you.
